From 9 to 15 October, FARN will take part in the IUCN World Conservation Congress in Abu Dhabi, where governments, organizations, and communities from around the world will come together to set priorities and drive global action on biodiversity and sustainable development.
Ana Di Pangracio, Deputy Executive Director at FARN and IUCN Councillor for Meso and South America, and Cristian Fernandez, Legal Affairs Coordinator, will engage in key discussions on protecting environmental defenders, integrating human rights into the energy transition, and advancing gender equality in biodiversity conservation.

In a continuous effort to link environmental protection, human rights, and gender justice, FARN has sponsored a motion on the conservation of the environmental integrity of the San Matías Gulf in Argentina, and co-soponsored motions to preserve high mountain wetlands and to safeguard biodiversity and human rights in energy transition mineral governance.
