From November 10th to 21st, alongside community members and indigenous peoples, we participated in various events, meetings, and conferences to convey that a just energy transition must include a human-rights perspective.
The Just Transition Work Programme was one of the key areas of debate at this COP. FARN emphasized that in the process of replacing fossil fuels with other energy sources, the self-determination of peoples and the right to Free, Prior and Informed Consent must be upheld.
Over the course of two weeks, we participated in an intensive agenda of advocacy spaces alongside allied organizations, international networks, academics, journalists, and community representatives from across Latin America. The photos capture some of those moments:

They exchanged experiences and perspectives on the socio-environmental harms of oil extraction in Vaca Muerta, as documented in the new edition of the magazine Pulso Ambiental.
